Pekin has gone a perfect 3-0 against Richwoods recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Pekin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Pekin got the win against Rock Island by a conclusive 8-2. Considering the Dragons have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Zoe Lindahl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaeliegh Decker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Patience Toungett, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Pekin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Richwoods fell victim to Canton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Giants. The Knights have struggled against the Little Giants recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Richwoods saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Carver, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Pekin's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Richwoods, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Pekin hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Richwoods struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pekin beat Richwoods 7-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
