The Inspiration Academy Lions will face off against the Lake Wales Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Inspiration Academy comes in on ten and Lake Wales on four.
While Inspiration Academy's victory against Bishop Verot wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Vikings 6-4.

Elle Hildreth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Avery Bouquin was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Alexis McInerney was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Inspiration Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Verot struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Lake Wales earned a 5-1 win over Sebring on Thursday.
Lake Wales also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Anna Conroy gave up a run (which was unearned) on three hits.
On the hitting side, Lake Wales let Mattie Cockrell and Keira Davis run wild. Cockrell went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Davis went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Inspiration Academy pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Wales, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Both Inspiration Academy and Lake Wales just can't seem to miss. The Lions have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Lake Wales struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Inspiration Academy beat Lake Wales 3-0 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
