After flying high against Bartlett  last Friday, Covington came back down to earth. The Covington Chargers fell victim to a  rough 17-9 defeat at the hands of the Millington Central Trojans  on Thursday. Covington has not had much luck with Millington Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Madison Hamm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Kale Wheeler, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 On Millington Central's side,  Grace Bell was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hayley Stevens, who  went 1-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 Covington's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Millington Central, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will take on Crockett County at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Millington Central, they will play host again  on Friday to welcome Northpoint Christian, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Millington Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.1  runs per game  this season.
