Even though the Franklin Classical School Knights scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen still came out on top. Franklin Road Christian escaped with a win against Franklin Classical School by the margin of a single free throw, 67-66. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklin Road Christian.
It was another big night for Noah Pence, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 35 points and nine rebounds. Pence is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chase Prince, who scored 11 points.
Franklin Road Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. As for Franklin Classical School, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.
Franklin Road Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pleasant View Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 19th. Franklin Classical School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
