The Baker Gators's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 51-50 victory over Laurel Hill. This was a revenge game for Baker, as the team was forced to settle for a 50-41 defeat when these two played last Thursday.
Despite the loss, Laurel Hill still got an impressive performance from Aiyana Dixon, who scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dixon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laramie Boykin, who scored nine points.
Baker's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Laurel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Baker will head out on the road to square off against Walton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday. As for Laurel Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northview at 5:30 p.m.
