Washington-Liberty has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Langley Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Langley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Washington-Liberty, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Washington-Liberty didn't have too much trouble with McLean on the road as they won 21-7.
Washington-Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Louis, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown. Zack Meehan was another key contributor, picking up 36 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Langley had to settle for a 31-28 loss against Yorktown two weeks ago.
Despite the loss, Langley had strong showings from Cole Samburg, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and Robert Roncskevitz, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Roncskevitz's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards.
Washington-Liberty's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Langley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Washington-Liberty strolled past Langley when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 35-21. Does Washington-Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Langley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
