Last Tuesday, Purvis strolled past Sacred Heart with points to spare, taking the game 67-48.
Purvis had a senior duo take command as Bredren Elenus scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and Jacoby Robinson scored 17 points along with 3 steals. The match was Elenus 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Vann Brewer was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Lamar Christian humbled Laurel Christian with a 70-30 victory. Given Lamar Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Laurel Christian is ranked 214th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Purvis has yet to lose a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record. As for Lamar Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
