Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, S.C.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 49-20 victory over
Emerald (Greenwood, S.C.).
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Bears led 35-14 at the half.
Belton-Honea Path saw its 21-point halftime lead fall to 15 entering the fourth.
BHP's most effective player was
Keinan Lewis. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught three touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Honea Path school, which was coming off a 37-29 defeat at the hands of Wren in its previous game. The loss comes after Emerald defeated Palmetto 24-14 last week.
