Elizabeth won the last time they faced Oratory Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Minutemen blew past the Rams 7-1. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Eliezer Cepeda made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jaime Tamayo and Ian Acevedo did most of the damage at the plate: Tamayo got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Acevedo got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
