After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tippecanoe, the Xenia Buccaneers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 66-46 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Xenia has posted against Greenville since January 22, 2021.
Greenville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Drew Hamilton, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Chace Drew who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Hamilton hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Xenia's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Greenville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Xenia will take on Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Troy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to face off against Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stebbins will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
