Crane is 8-2 against Alpine since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Crane Cranes will head out on the road to take on the Alpine Bucks at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crane comes in on seven and Alpine on five.
Last Friday, Crane strolled past Kermit with points to spare, taking the game 42-23.
Alpine only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point they dealt Compass Academy on Friday. Alpine put the hurt on Compass Academy with a sharp 56-33 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Alpine has posted since November 28, 2023.
Novah Carrasco continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Alpine's points. Another player making a difference was Hope Dominguez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Crane's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.75 points. As for Alpine, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Crane strolled past Alpine in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
