The Denby Tars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cranbrook Kingswood, falling 52-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Denby has scored all season.
Yasmyn Palmer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cranbrook Kingswood, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Palmer has scored at least 25% of Cranbrook Kingswood's points. Another player making a difference was Catherine Vaz, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Denby's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Denby will take on East English Village Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cranbrook Kingswood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Detroit Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Detroit Country Day is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
