Maret is 8-2 against St. Andrew's Episcopal since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Maret Frogs will be playing at home against the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions at 5:45 p.m. Maret is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.
Maret is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue, who was ranked 12th in their home state at the time (Maret was ranked 11th). Maret skirted past Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue 49-47.
Kennedy Austin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. St. Andrew's Episcopal's win came from a few key players Maret will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chloe Ferber, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Those nine points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Beth Tsai-Turton, who had nine points and seven boards.
St. Andrew's Episcopal pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Maret, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Maret has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36 rebounds per game. However, it's not like St. Andrew's Episcopal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Maret took their win against St. Andrew's Episcopal when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 58-38. Will Maret repeat their success, or does St. Andrew's Episcopal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
