After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hays, Seguin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Highlands Owls 12-1. Considering the Matadors have won eight games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ian Moreno and Corey Dailey did most of the damage at the plate: Moreno went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Dailey went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave Dailey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Tipple, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Seguin is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Highlands, they dropped their record down to 3-15-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Seguin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-0 victory against Sam Houston on the 17th. As for Highlands, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-1 defeat against Brackenridge on the 17th.
