After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bozeman, the Franklin County Seahawks were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against North Florida Christian by a score of 60-47. This was payback for Franklin County, who suffered a 79-78 loss the last time these two teams met.
Franklin County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Kembro, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lonnie O'Neal, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for North Florida Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will take on Jefferson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for North Florida Christian, North Florida Christian and Maclay will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Maclay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
