The Buckingham Charter Knights will head out to take on the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Buckingham Charter managed to slip by Sacramento Country Day the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Buckingham Charter was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Sacramento Country Day work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-22, 25-20.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Addelyn Widmer, who had nine kills and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Margrethe Lim was another key player, getting 20 assists and two aces.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Faith Christian by a score of 3-2.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 19-25, 25-13, 25-17, 15-11.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Buckingham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
