There's no place like home for the BigTyme Prep Academy Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Universal Academy, posting a 65-36 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for BigTyme Prep Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
BigTyme Prep Academy had a senior duo take command as Mayen Ayuel scored 22 points and Noah Dowling scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dowling has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeff Bogg, who scored seven points.
Universal Academy lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cyrus Shaw, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamran Reese, who scored nine points.
BigTyme Prep Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. As for Universal Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing R.W. Goines Stem Academy the next time they take the court. Universal Academy will head out to face R.W. Goines Stem Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while BigTyme Prep Academy will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
