Jack Vatcher posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 14 batters over one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
