The Malakoff Tigers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Grandview Zebras. They blew past the Zebras 42-7 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Malakoff, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Malakoff got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jerrion Hall out in front who rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns. Hall is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Mike Jones was another key contributor, rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Malakoff's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44 points. As for Grandview, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2.
Malakoff will be playing in front of their home fans against Winnsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winnsboro is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
