Baseball Recap: Campolindo Has No Trouble Against Northgate

Campolindo never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Northgate Broncos with a sharp 6-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

Northgate's batters probably weren't too happy with Dom Caruso, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up zero walks). What's more, Caruso gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Jack Luster was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. William Myers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Campolindo's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Northgate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Campolindo and Northgate should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Campolindo (ranked 111th) will meet Liberty (ranked 336th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northgate will take on Mt. Eden at 4:00 p.m. on April 4 up 357 places (306 vs. 663).
