Molly Mansfield was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Megan Fowler and Alexa Follis did most of the damage at the plate: Fowler went 2-for-4 with one home run, while Follis scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, Follis posted two hits, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Eleanor Hurt was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Clinton Central came up short against North Montgomery on Monday and fell 9-5.
