Like Gorham Fayette, North Central also got a great game from a two-way player: Kade Stewart. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stewart is becoming a predictor of North Central's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is undefeated (and 1-7 when he doesn't). Stewart was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Gavin Shockley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
