The Champlin Park Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Providence Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Champlin Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Providence Academy is ranked first).
Champlin Park won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 90-47 loss at the hands of Park Center. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Champlin Park has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Providence Academy stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Edina 94-72. The win was nothing new for Providence Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Maddyn Greenway was her usual excellent self, shooting 6-for-9 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 49 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Providence Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Millerbernd, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Champlin Park has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Providence Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
