The St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Lancers will take on the Kenosha Christian Life Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. John's Northwestern Military Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Pius XI Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lancers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Popes on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their two-run performance the match before.
David Schroettner made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Matthias Ericksen was excellent, going 4-for-5 with two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Jack Dietrich was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Kenosha Christian Life was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to Heritage Christian. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Kenosha Christian Life's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Kenosha Christian Life in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
