Hopewell is 2-8 against Beaver since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hopewell Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Beaver Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Hopewell and four for Beaver.
Hopewell suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 53-25 loss at the hands of Central Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Hopewell has suffered against Central Valley since February 7, 2020.
Meanwhile, Beaver had to suffer through a rough 88-38 loss at the hands of Lincoln Park Performing Arts. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beaver in their matchups with Lincoln Park Performing Arts: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Beaver had strong showings from Ty Butler, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, and Brady Mayo, who scored 17 points. Mayo is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.
Hopewell's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-9. As for Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Hopewell might still be hurting after the 76-53 loss they got from Beaver in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mayo, who scored 23 points along with seven steals and five assists. Now that Hopewell knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
