The King/Drew Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dorsey Dons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
King/Drew had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Fremont 32-0 on the road.
Keenan Jackson had a dynamite game for King/Drew, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 205 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Kameron Gates was another key contributor, picking up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
King/Drew's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Fremont's QB won't forget Chinedu Onyeagoro anytime soon given Onyeagoro sacked him seven times.
Meanwhile, Dorsey strolled past Dymally with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 30-14.
King/Drew's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Dorsey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.
King/Drew might still be hurting after the 26-6 loss they got from Dorsey in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Will King/Drew have more luck at home instead of on the road?
