The Valley View Eagles came into Friday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against S & S Consolidated by a score of 50-41 on Friday. The victory was just what Valley View needed coming off of a 66-37 defeat in their prior game.
Despite the defeat, S & S Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Courville scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joemar Dalayan, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, S & S Consolidated smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Valley View's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-21. As for S & S Consolidated, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.
Valley View will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for S & S Consolidated, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. Ponder is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
