Basketball Game Preview: The Webb School Feet vs. Providence Christian Academy LIONS

The Webb School and Providence Christian Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Webb School Feet will head out to challenge the Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Webb School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.

The Webb School took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Franklin Road Academy by a score of 52-43. Given the Feet's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Panthers are ranked 188th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Webb School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Brown, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Brown has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joel Wyatt, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 69-45 margin over the Bulldogs. The LIONS have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Providence Christian Academy's record now sits at 20-2. As for The Webb School, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.

The Webb School came up short against Providence Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January, falling 61-53. Can The Webb School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
