The West Bridgewater Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Fairhaven Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Fairhaven had won six straight road games dating back to last season and Braley Boucher did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against Greater New Bedford RVT, sneaking past 3-2 for which the team can thank Boucher, who had 14 digs and six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last four games she's played.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-101) Fairhaven actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 15-25, 15-9.
West Bridgewater better focus on containing Aubrey Sweeney and Brenna Dugan as the pair were huge in Fairhaven's win. Sweeney had 19 assists and four digs, while Dugan had nine kills, eight digs, five aces, and one block. That's the most assists Sweeney has posted over her last eight contests. Audrina Raposa also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Fairhaven was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in five consecutive matchups.
West Bridgewater's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Fairhaven, their record is now 7-2.
West Bridgewater might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Fairhaven when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
