The Beatty Hornets will be playing at home against the Round Mountain Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Beatty has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
Last Tuesday, Beatty ended up a good deal behind Indian Springs and lost 45-27.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Reese Taylor, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Oscar Lopez, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Round Mountain scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down American Heritage Academy 72-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Round Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keiran Swafford, who scored 25 points along with two steals. Swafford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Blake Bullington was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six steals and five assists.
Beatty's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Round Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
