After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brush, Wray was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 40-8 win over the Holyoke Dragons. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-0.
Wray's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaron Tena, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Tena's longest rush was for an incredible 98 yards. Brody Stults was another key player, rushing for 160 yards and two scores on only ten carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wray was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 364 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holyoke only rushed for 117.
Wray now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Holyoke, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.
