After flying high against Bath  last Wednesday, Laingsburg came back down to earth. The Wolfpack came up short against  the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates on Wednesday, falling  3-0. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.
 While Laingsburg was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pewamo-Westphalia's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18,  25-23.
Laingsburg's offense was headlined by  Kendall Michels and  Sydney Curtis, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from  Hayden Wilson and her six assists. Finally,  Curtis was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Laingsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
