Pine View and Payson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pine View had to settle for second. They took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Payson Lions. Payson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Swasey out in front who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Buys, who en route to 13 points.
Pine View's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Payson, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season.
Pine View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Payson, they have already played their next game, a 63-58 win against Hurricane on the 21st.
