The North Providence Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Toll Gate Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Providence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
Last Friday, North Providence didn't have too much trouble with the Patriots at home as they won 46-32.
It was another big night for Lusine Hagopian, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Heon, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Toll Gate faced the Mariners in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Toll Gate was the victim of a rough 47-24 defeat at the hands of the Mariners on Friday. Toll Gate has struggled against the Mariners recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
North Providence has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Toll Gate, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
North Providence opened the new year with a less-than-successful 47-38 defeat to the Titans. Can North Providence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
