Baseball Recap: Valliant Gets the Win

Valliant won against Antlers on Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 12-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Rustin Roberts, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Rowen Gee was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Valliant has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.0 runs this season. As for Antlers, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valliant will challenge Fort Towson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Antlers, they will square off against Atoka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
