Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benjamin). They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Buccaneers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Benjamin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Oxbridge Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Benjamin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pine Crest at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Pine Crest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Benjamin likes a good challenge. Oxbridge Academy and Boca Raton will round out the year against one another at at 5:45 p.m. on December 27th.
