The Hamilton Titans won against the Liberty Eagles back in December of 2023 with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Hamilton took down Liberty 55-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hamilton.
When it comes to explaining why Liberty lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maddy Gibbs. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Gibbs is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Claire Obert, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Liberty, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-20.
Hamilton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sherrard at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mendon Unity at 6:00 p.m.
