Cranston East was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Coventry apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Cranston East lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mya Jiminez. Despite the final result, she scored 25 points. The game was Jiminez's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayna Gunderway, who scored eight points.
Cranston East's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Coventry, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Cranston East will be home for the holidays to greet Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coventry, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Mt. Pleasant is ranked 35th, while Coventry is ranked 24th).
