Astoria is 1-6 against Scappoose since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Astoria Fishermen will look to defend their home field against the Scappoose Indians at 7:00 p.m. Astoria is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Astoria took a serious blow against Seaside, falling 42-7.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Scappoose's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a tough blow as they fell 46-29 to Tillamook.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Cayden Baker, who rushed for 61 yards and three touchdowns. Max Nowlin was another key contributor, throwing for 270 yards and a touchdown.
Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7, while Scappoose's bumped their own down to the opposite: 7-1.
Astoria might still be hurting after the 34-8 defeat they got from Scappoose in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Astoria, D?angelo Macedo (who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
