Aransas Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the George West Longhorns. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Aransas Pass of the  10-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
 Aransas Pass saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  JJ Garza, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base.
 Even though they lost, Aransas Pass  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 On George West's side, they got a big performance out of  Davian Zuniga, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Adam Duran was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Aransas Pass' loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for George West, their win bumped their record up to 14-17-1.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Mathis the next time they take the field. Aransas Pass will head out to face Mathis at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday, while George West will  host them  at 7:30  p.m.  on April 2nd.
