Sidney is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Pierce is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sidney Red Raiders will take on the Pierce Bluejays at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Friday, Sidney didn't have too much trouble with Gothenburg at home   as they won  28-14.
 Sidney's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Isak Doty, who rushed for 129 yards and  a touchdown, and also threw for 127 yards and  a touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Luke Holly, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, Pierce can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Friday. They were the clear victor by a  34-14 margin over Roncalli Catholic. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  20-0.
 Pierce had a senior duo take command as  Keenan Valverde rushed for 187 yards and  a touchdown and  Champion White rushed for 114 yards and  a touchdown. Valverde is on a roll when it comes to  rushing yards, as he's now  rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
 Sidney's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Pierce, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
