Football Recap: Sharon Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sharon extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-3. They were the clear victors by a 42-21 margin over the Titusville Rockets. Considering the Tigers have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sharon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Engelmore, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Engelmore has posted since back in August. Bishop Root was Engelmore's top target, picking up 14 receiving yards.

As for Titusville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 461st, while Sharon is ranked 203rd).

Despite the loss, Titusville still got an impressive performance from Jaydin O'Neill, who rushed for 58 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Sharon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Titusville, they will take on Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Rockets will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
