The Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Plumstead Christian. Given Lincoln Leadership Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Plumstead Christian is ranked 589th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln Leadership Academy was led to victory by Dwight Prud'homme and Nicholas Estrella. Prud'homme dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Estrella almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Estrella also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Carlos Santana was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Lincoln Leadership Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Plumstead Christian, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Lincoln Leadership Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 96-48 win vs. Lehigh Christian Academy on the 9th. Plumstead Christian will head out on the road to face off against MAST Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
