It was a good run, but the Lyman Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Wall by a score of 61-58. Lyman has not had much luck with Wall recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Wall had a senior duo take command as Paige Kjerstad dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds and Rhea Tucker dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kjerstad hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Frink, who scored eight points.
Lyman's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1. As for Wall, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lyman will look to defend their home court on Monday against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] at 5:15 p.m. Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Lyman is ranked 24th). As for Wall, they will head out on the road to face off against White River at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. White River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three matches.
