Meanwhile, Croatan took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 46-18 win over Southside. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 22 point advantage.
Havelock was able to grind out a solid victory over Croatan in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 38-29. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Croatan's Neely McMannen, who had seven points in addition to eight steals and five assists.
