On Friday Wakefield take on Solomon at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
Wakefield had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-50 loss at the hands of Bennington.
Meanwhile, Solomon took care of business in their home opener. They put a hurting on they to the tune of 46-0. The Solomon offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the match anyway.
Solomon's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Wakefield's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. In their victory, Solomon relied heavily on senior Logan Krause, who rushed for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns; a key strategy for Wakefield will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
