Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Southern Durham Spartans walked away with it. They breezed by Eastern Alamance on the road to the tune of 36-7. The victory was nothing new for Southern Durham as they're now sitting on six straight.
Southern Durham was led to victory by Amir Hall and Jordan McClure. Hall picked up 210 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while McClure threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Hall's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards. Jonathan Dillon also helped out as he racked up 128 receiving yards.
Southern Durham's win was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 7-4. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.67 points. As for Eastern Alamance, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Southern Durham will head out on the road to face off against Scotland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Scotland is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Eastern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
