On Tuesday, the Leander Lions kept a clean sheet against the Lehman Lobos. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Lobos. That three goal margin sets a new team best for Leander this season.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Yahir Tellez and
Evan Rodriguez, who scored all three of Leander's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Leander's win bumped their record up to 3-6-4. As for Lehman, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leander will take on Cedar Park at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehman, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Lockhart at 7:15 p.m. Lehman is facing Lockhart at the right time seeing as Lockhart is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
