Avon and Ben Davis are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Last Friday, Avon got the win against Noblesville by a conclusive 31-10. The Orioles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Avon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 381 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Avon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacari Griggs and Nikko Crawford.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ben Davis). They claimed a resounding 69-35 victory over North Central. The Giants haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Avon better keep an eye on Gabe Kennett. He was instrumental in Ben Davis' win, throwing for 370 yards and eight TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and one touchdown. Those 370 passing yards gave Kennett a new career-high. Da'Vion Davis was another key player, picking up 225 receiving yards and three scores.
Ben Davis' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Avon, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything went Avon's way against Ben Davis in their previous meeting back in August, as Avon made off with a 35-14 win. Do the Orioles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
