After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Niles North, Northside was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They never let the Jones Eagles get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory. The  win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.
 Jilliyn Yung was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Yung was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Yung wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Payton Phoxay, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double and one  RBI.  Olivia Eichenseer also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.

 Northside  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .750. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in May of 2024.
